Interiors By Design is a small boutique design firm with a full range of experience across renovations, new construction, and custom furnishings. Led by award-winning designer Dennese Guadeloupe Rojas, our Silver Spring, MD–based studio works on a global scale on residential, commercial, and multi-family projects.
Creating dream homes—full-home and single-room design across renovations, new construction, and custom furnishings.
Refined, functional environments for offices, hospitality, and retail—grounded in thoughtful space planning and biophilic design.
Model units and amenity spaces for community developments—design that elevates the resident experience.
We begin with your space, your goals, and how you want each room to live.
Floor plans, palettes, and curated selections that set the vision before anything is purchased.
We manage furniture, fixtures & equipment—sourcing, warehousing, and delivery, all handled for you.
White-glove installation and the final styling layer that brings the whole design to life.
“I have spent many years combining function with aesthetics to create a space that reflects the client. This collaborative process is enjoyable and undeniably saves both time and money—and ensures that our designs bear your own signature.”
— Dennese Guadeloupe Rojas
A sustainable home is not built from one green product. It comes from a series of ordinary decisions: what you keep, what you buy, what it is made of, and how long it will last. These nine ideas show where those decisions matter most.
Hiring a full-service interior designer is a bigger step than buying a new sofa. It helps to know what the months ahead will look like, what you will be asked to decide, and what the designer will take off your plate.
A home should support the way residents live. It is not just a place for furniture. It is a backdrop for daily routines. The style chosen affects how comfortable and functional a space feels.
Lighting shapes how a home looks, feels, and works. It can make a room feel warm, bright, calm, and comfortable.
A beautiful room should also be easy to use. Good design is not only about color, furniture, or finishes. It is also about how people move through a space and how each area supports daily life.
A bathroom should feel restorative, well planned, and effortless to use. It is one of the most personal rooms in the home, yet it also has to meet practical needs every day. Strong bathroom design balances those two expectations. It creates a setting that feels refined, but it also supports storage, movement, maintenance, lighting, and comfort.
From our studios in Silver Spring and Bethesda, we design for homeowners, businesses, and developers across Maryland and the Washington, DC metro—and select projects nationwide.
Yes. From our studios in Silver Spring and Bethesda, Interiors By Design works with clients across Maryland and the greater Washington, DC region—including Potomac, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Columbia, and Baltimore—on residential, commercial, and multi-family projects, with select work nationwide.
Every project moves from an initial consultation, through concept and design, into procurement and FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment), and finishes with a white-glove installation and styling. We manage sourcing, warehousing, and delivery so the whole project is handled for you.
Investment varies with the scope, square footage, and level of customization of each project. Every engagement begins with a consultation, after which we provide a clear, itemised proposal so you know exactly what your project involves before any work begins.
Timelines depend on scope and product lead times—a single room moves considerably faster than a whole-home design. We map a realistic schedule for you during the design phase and manage procurement and delivery against it, so you always know what happens next.
Yes. Alongside luxury residential work, we design commercial interiors—offices, hospitality, and retail—and model units and amenity spaces for multi-family and community developments across the DMV.
Absolutely. We regularly build a room around heirloom and existing pieces, blending what you love with new, trade-only sourcing and custom furnishings so the space feels collected rather than staged.
